Our last days in Kyoto were busy, we went to Nijo Castle which has nightingale floorboards (they squeak like nightingales!) to alert the Shogun and Samurai of enemies. Couldnt take any photos inside but the outside gates are cool too....
Also went to Ginkaku-Ji temple, the Silver Pavillion. Although they didnt ever actually give it a silver finish unlike the Golden Pavillion! Finally we saw what we think is a Geiko or Meiko (Geisha or trainee Geisha) in Kiomizu Temple,
Opinion is still out on whether she was real - but she was impressive anyway!!!
Yesterday, at the crack of dawn, we went to Tsukiji Fish Market in Tokyo, famous for its Tuna auction. We missed the auction, but as you can see we breakfasted like Kings and Queens!
